Bala Iyer has served on public company boards since 2001 and currently serves on the board of three public companies I H S Markit (INFO), a leading source of information, insight and analytics in critical areas shaping today’s business landscape, Skyworks Solutions (SWKS) a high performance analog semiconductor company and Power Integrations (POWI), a high voltage power conversion integrated circuit company.
He previously served on the boards of QLogic until its acquisition by Cavium in August 2016; Life Technologies, an S&P 500 company, until its acquisition by Thermo Fisher in 2014 for over $15 billion; Overture Services until it was acquired by Yahoo and Conexant Systems until the company was taken private by Golden Gate Capital. As a board member, Bala has overseen more than 50 acquisitions as well as divestitures valued at over $30 billion and has overseen over $10 billion in equity and debt financing and served on several pricing committees. He has chaired Audit as well as Nominating Committees and has served on Compensation Committees.
Bala has had a twenty two year career with technology companies and served as CFO of Conexant Systems and VLSI Technologies. Bala has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, an MS in Industrial Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Erin Selleck is an experienced financial executive, advisor, and corporate director. She is a current member of the Board of
Directors of Broadway Financial Corp (NASDAQ: BYFC) and its subsidiary, Broadway Federal Bank, where she serves as Chair
of the Audit Committee, and member of the Risk/Compliance and Loan Committees. Erin is also a member of the Advisory
Board of DoubleCheck Solutions, an early stage financial technology company. She previously served on advisory boards for
CleanBlu, a private water reclamation technologies company, and the Women Founders Network, a virtual accelerator that
connects women founders with the resources they need to grow their businesses. As a director and advisor, Erin provides
oversight, guidance and mentorship to these companies as they grow, expand nationally and globally, and create value for
shareholders and investors.
Prior to becoming a director and advisor, Erin had a successful 30-year career in the financial services industry. She served as
Senior Executive Vice President and Treasurer for Union Bank, a top-25 U. S. bank and a key subsidiary of Japan’s Mitsubishi
UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), one of the world’s largest financial organizations. Her many accomplishments at Union Bank
include successfully guiding the bank through the most significant financial crisis of the modern era, presiding over meaningful
growth (2.6x) in the bank’s balance sheet, and expertly navigating an increasingly challenging economic and regulatory
environment in the banking industry. She is the recipient of a number of professional honors, including being named a “Woman
to Watch” by American Banker Magazine in 2012.
Erin transformed the treasury function at Union Bank, creating a strategic treasury unit with a shareholder value focus. She
provided expert leadership of all corporate treasury functions for the bank and holding company, and had P&L responsibility for
the bank’s $20 billion investment portfolio, which she grew from $6 billion during her tenure while consistently delivering abovebudget
returns. In addition to her responsibilities as Treasurer, Erin served as a Policy Making Officer and a member of Union
Bank’s Executive Committee. In this capacity, she drove growth and profitability and she directed major corporate policies,
including strategic and financial issues, M&A, and the risk profile of the company. Of particular note is the significant role she
played in the parent company (MUFG) initiative to combine and integrate all U. S. operations, including Union Bank, into the
newly created MUFG Americas Holdings Corp.
Erin joined Union Bank in 2002 and was promoted to SEVP in 2012 following a succession of progressive leadership positions.
She began her career in the financial services industry at Bank of America, where she served as Vice President and Manager in
Corporate Treasury holding various roles within that division with increasing responsibility.
Erin currently serves on the Board of Heal the Bay. She has previously served on the Boards of the National Association of
Corporate Treasurers, Girls Inc. of Greater Los Angeles, and the Organization of Women Executives. Her leadership roles in
these non-profit organizations have included President, Audit Committee Chair, Treasurer, and Chair of the Finance Committee
Erin earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of California at Berkeley.
