Los Angeles – July 23, 2013 – The Southern California Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) today announced the appointment of Mr. Hoshi Printer to the new Board position of Programs Chair.  As Programs Chair, Mr. Printer will be responsible for the development of chapter events and resources including educational series, interactive workshops and roundtables, training and networking services. Mr. Printer is currently audit committee chair and board member at Lantronix, Inc. (Nasdaq: LTRX) and serves as the president of the Stanford Business School Alumni Association of Orange County.  He has been a member of NACD for the past three years.

“We are delighted that Hoshi has accepted the position of chapter programs chair,” said Chapter Chairman M. Christian Mitchell.  “With his vast expertise and insights on all aspects of corporate governance, he is ideally suited to the visionary role of program developer and coordinator.” 

Chapter President David L. Rosenblum added, “Hoshi’s new board position was created in support of our national organization’s NACD Directorship 2020, a comprehensive initiative to help corporate directors navigate the evolving governance landscape and meet the challenges and opportunities impacting the boardrooms of the future. At Hoshi’s direction, we will be able to utilize the Directorship 2020 agenda as a framework for our programs and events in Southern California.”

“This is a dynamic and exciting environment for corporate governance, and rapid change is expected to continue for the foreseeable future,” said Mr. Printer.  “It is an honor to accept this important position and to do my part in advancing NACD SoCal as a thought leader in all aspects of board directorship.”

Mr. Printer’s background includes four decades as a business and finance executive for public and private technology companies.  He has served as chief financial officer for technology companies including Autobytel, Peerless Systems Corporation, Neuron Data, Soane Technologies and Catalytica. From 2005 to 2010, Mr. Printer was a chief financial officer consultant, and earlier he served as the divisional vice president of finance for Xerox Corporation. In addition to NACD, Mr. Printer serves on the board of the Forum for Corporate Directors (2007 to present), a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing boardroom performance. Mr. Printer holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business as well as an MS degree in industrial engineering and BA degrees in both electrical and mechanical engineering.
